GOALKEEPER Dan Jezeph will join Worcester City permanently for next season.

He has agreed a deal to sign for the Midland Football League Premier Division club for the 2019-20 campaign after playing for City this term on dual-registration from Tamworth until being hit with a lengthy suspension.

A City statement said: "Dan confirmed to us a few weeks ago that he would be leaving Tamworth in the summer and would love to be part of the club for the coming season."

Jezeph, 21, made 19 starts for Worcester earlier this season while being dual-registered before his sending off against Westfields where a 150-day ban followed.

JEZEPH: BEING BANNED FOR LONGER THAN LUIS SUAREZ IS "VERY HARSH"

His ban finishes on April 28 but he will miss the first three competitive games of next season.

Jezeph had admitted a charge of improper conduct against a match official including physical contact, violent conduct and threatening and/or abusive language/behaviour during City’s 6-1 defeat to Westfields on November 24, 2018.

He rushed out of his penalty area to remonstrate with referee James Cox over the fifth Westfields goal being allowed to stand.

It was understood the severity of the sanction centred around Jezeph bumping into the chest of the man in the middle.
