PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WPRI) — A police cruiser crashed into a building in Providence late Saturday night.
The crash happened on the corner of Broadway and Vinton Streets at Broadway Cleaners.
Police say a patrol officer was alone in the cruiser at the time of the crash.
According to police, the officer was treated for minor injuries and released from Roger Williams Hospital, though his injuries will keep him out of work for the next few days.
There were no other vehicles involved, police say, and the cause of the crash is still under investigation.
