RALEIGH, N.C. — As this unusual summer winds down and (virtual) school begins, Raleigh parks is adjusting the operating hours for its seasonal pools starting next week.

The pools will remain open through Labor Day, Monday, Sept. 7. Starting Sept. 8, only the city's year-round aquatic centers — Pullen, Optimist and Millbrook — will be open. (It's not clear when the city's Buffaloe Road Aquatic Center, which features a sprayground and water slide and has remained closed since March, will reopen. I've emailed the city and will update this once I hear back.)

Reservations for two-hour swim sessions can be made online or by calling the pool at least 24 hours in advance.
