RALEIGH, N.C. — A car spun on a ramp on Interstate 540 Eastbound because of black ice, authorities said, closing the ramp over Glenwood Avenue.

The driver and passenger of the vehicle were hospitalized.

Authorities said the ramp, at mile marker 292, would be closed until a salt truck could come because the stretch of road has ice.

Traffic was backed up near the accident.
