Police investigating after man hit by vehicle in Raleigh
Officials were investigating after a man was hit by a vehicle on Creedmoor Road on Tuesday.
Posted — UpdatedThe crash happened on Creedmoor Road near Old Creedmoor Road.
Troopers say the man darted into the road before being hit.
Other drivers stopped to help.
"I've got chill bumps right now because, coming down 50 I was like, gosh, I hope I don't hit a deer," Ellen Newtown said. "And boom there's a deer, I thought, lying in the road. And it was a person. I stopped the car and jumped out and rendered as much help as I could.”
The man was taken to the hospital with serious injuries but is expected to survive.
It wasn’t clear whether any charges would be filed.
