Raleigh man facing child sex charges held under $9M bond

A Raleigh man facing dozens of counts of child sex crimes was being held Wednesday in the Wake County jail under $9 million bond, according to court records.

RALEIGH, N.C. — A Raleigh man facing dozens of counts of child sex crimes was being held Wednesday in the Wake County jail under $9 million bond, according to court records.

Richard Lamour King Hudson, 31, of 1601 Amber Ridge Lane, is charged with 12 counts of first-degree statutory sex offense and 12 counts of indecent liberties with a child.

The crimes are alleged to have occurred between October 2017 and last December and involved a child who was 10 or 11 during that period, according to arrest warrants.

If Hudson is released on bond, he is prohibited from having any contact with the alleged victim or with anybody under age 18 without approval from a judge or Child Protective Services, according to court records.
