Raleigh woman accused of abusing, exploiting from elderly woman

A Raleigh woman has been arrested and charged with abusing and exploiting an elderly woman.

RALEIGH, N.C. — A Raleigh woman has been arrested and charged with abusing and exploiting an elderly woman.

Michelle Bridges, 51, of 1108 Leach St. in Raleigh, was arrested on June 20 by deputies with the Wake County Sheriff’s Office and charged with abuse, neglect, and exploitation of a disabled or elder adult and exploitation of an older adult or disabled adult.

In the warrant for arrest, Bridges is charged with the offenses on June 10 to Phyllis Whitaker at 5001 Six Point Trl. In Raleigh. She was held on a $10,000 secured bond at the Wake County Jail. Her first court date was scheduled for Friday.
