RALEIGH, N.C. — Six people were forced out of their homes when a fire broke out at a Raleigh apartment complex Thursday night.

Raleigh Fire Department Chief John McGrath said a call came in around 11 p.m. about a fire at Timbers Apartments, which is on Timber Creek Lane off of West Millbrook Road.

No one was injured, but two apartment units were damaged, officials said.

Authorities believe the blaze might have started as a kitchen fire, although an investigation was still underway.

The fire was knocked down in about seven minutes, McGrath said.
