Columbus Police have charged a man with a murder who is also a suspect in a separate killing.

Police have charged 33-year-old Curtis Williams III with the murder of Steve Phillips Jr.

Phillips was found with a gunshot wound to the head on a wooded trail between Winston Rd and Benning Drive back on November 16, 2017.

Williams is also facing a murder charge in the deadly shooting of Stanford Jones back on August 10, 2018.

29-year-old Jeffery Flakes is also charged in the murder of Jones.

Williams is set to appear in court Monday at 9:00 a.m.
