News 12 This Morning

AUGUSTA, Ga. (WRDW/WAGT) -- Local woman Micki Esposito has been working hard to find as many faces as possible. Her mission is to use the faces to show all the different stories that make up the CSRA's huge story.

"Faces of Augusta is about our community and allowing the people of our community to tell the story of Augusta, one face at a time," explains Faces of Augusta creator, Micki Esposito.

Every day, Micki conducts interviews. Each story is just a little different from the last. She says she never knows who she may stumble upon.

"I've met with a yoga instructor, a vice president, a development manager, comedian, a PGA pro golfer, and the list just goes on and on."

Now she meets with Karin Bush, a yoga instructor, Augusta native, and a face of Augusta.

"She just said you've been nominated for Faces of Augusta as a fitness instructor and asked if I wanted to do an interview. I said 'yes,' because I thought it would be a great opportunity," Bush recalls the initial phone call from Micki.

Prior to that call, Bush tells News 12 she had no idea just how important her classes were. She's thankful for whoever nominated her.

"I would tell them 'thank you. That means to me that I made some type of impact, that you would think enough of me to think she is a face of Augusta'," Bush smiles ear-to-ear in her appreciation.

Like Bush, most of the people Micki interviews every day didn't see their story being a part of an even bigger one. Fortunately for them, someone did.
