RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) — Swift action by police officers in Richmond led to the quick arrest of a suspect accused of robbing someone at gunpoint in the city’s Fan District.
At around 9:55 p.m. on Monday, April 15, a victim told police he was on West Cary Street (east of the Boulevard) when a man approached him and robbed him at gunpoint.
Officers arrived on scene minutes later and spotted the suspect, who attempted to run away but was apprehended.
The 23-year-old suspect, Dante E. Burgos of Mechanicsville, was taken into custody and charged with robbery, possession of a firearm during a commission of a felony and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.
