RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) — A fire on Richmond’s south side has left five kids and four adults without a home.
The Richmond Fire Department was called to the 5000 block of Old Midlothian Turnpike just after 9 p.m on Sunday. Lt. Chris Armstrong says the initial call said the fire started in the kitchen, but crews have not confirmed what caused the blaze.
The Virginia Red Cross says it’s assisting nine people who were forced out of their home by the fire. None of them were injured.
