Hotline tip led to Lancaster County child pornography bust, police say

LANCASTER, S.C. — Police arrested a Lancaster man Friday after receiving a tip from a hotline accusing him of sending child pornography over social media.

Robert Kittle, with the South Carolina Attorney General's Office, said Damien James Clark, 25, was charged with two counts of second-degree exploitation of a minor.

Clark was identified by police after the Lancaster County Sheriff's Office received a tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children’s, an organization that seeks to protect exploited children.

This is the second child porn bust this year in a local South Carolina community that led to an arrest.

A Lake Wylie man was charged earlier this year after investigators found child porn files from DVDs that were being sold illegally on the internet.
