INVESTIGATION. AN EARTHQUAKE HAS BEEN CONFIRMED IN PENNSYVLANIA. NOT TOO FAR AWAY FROM HERE. THE 3.4 MAGNITUDE EARTHQUAKE HIT THE CENTRAL PART OF THE STATE AROUND 8:30 LAST NIGHT. IT HAPPENED IN JUNIATA COUNTY. THE EPICENTER WAS JUST SOUTH O MIFFLINTOWN, WEST OF HARRISBURG AND SOUTH OF STATE COLLEGE. TAKE A LOOK AT THIS MAP FROM THE U.S. GEOLOGICAL SURVEY. EACH SQUARE REPRESENTS A TREMOR REPORT. MOST OF THEM AROUND STATE COLLEGE, CHAMBERSBURG, WILLIAMSPORT AND ALTOONA. BUT THERE WERE TWO LOCAL REPORT. -- BUT THERE WERE TWO LOCAL REPORTS, ONE IN HARRISON CITY, WESTMORELAND COUNTY AND ANOTHER IN CHICORA, BUTLER COUNTY. THERE WERE NO REPORTS OF ANY DAMAGES OR INJURIES. THIS EARTHQUAKE CAME JUST TWO DAYS AFTER A 4.0 QUAKE WAS DETECTED IN LAKE ERIE. OHIO TRAFFIC CAMERAS CAPTURED THE TREMORS HERE ON MOND

An earthquake hit central Pennsylvania Wednesday night, the U.S. Geological Survey confirmed.The 3.4 magnitude quake struck approximately 11 miles southwest of Mifflintown, Juniata County, at about 8:30 p.m., according to the USGS Earthquake Hazards Program website.Some people reported hearing a rumble like thunder. Others compared the quake to a big truck going by.No damage was reported. On Monday morning, a 4 magnitude earthquake hit just northeast of Cleveland in Lake Erie.
