Police are investigating after an off-duty officer and his 15-year-old son were shot while hunting Monday in Clermont County, Ohio.

The incident took place at East Fork Lake State Park.

The officer and his son were taken to U.C. Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries, police said.

Both were wounded by some sort of scattershot from a shotgun.

Police say the father and son were turkey hunting when the incident took place.

The Ohio Department of Natural Resources is investigating.

According to investigators, two people took off after shooting the pair.

State troopers confirmed that the two were found near Bethel and are currently being questioned.
