The Ohio state auditor visited Marietta Tuesday to meet with local leaders.

Keith Faber was elected to the state auditor office in November. He joined a roundtable of local elected officials and community leaders at the armory Tuesday to hear about local issues.

The visit is a part of the auditor's listening tour across the state.

Local officials said it was a great opportunity to ask questions about problems they're facing now.

"We're having roundtables with local elected officials all around the state. This is our seventh or eighth of these round tables," Faber said. "We've been in office now about 11 weeks."

"It's nice to have the outreach from the state to basically come down and meet with us personally," Washington County engineer Roger Wright said, "to ask some questions about some of the issues we have locally that are affecting us."

Local officials from Marietta, Belpre, Washington County and even Athens county attended the meeting.
