A new study released by bankrate.com lists the worst states in the country for driving and Connecticut is high on the list.

The study from bankrate.com included variables such as cost, safety, and driving quality.

California came out on top as the worst state to for driving in the nation. Following California is Hawaii, then Connecticut.

The group says the average commute here is just under a half hour.

The study says the best states for drivers are in the mid-west – North Dakota, Iowa, Ohio, Minnesota, and Nebraska.
