The State Trooper injured over the weekend has been released from the hospital.
News 8 was at Bridgeport Hospital as Trooper Gregory came out Tuesday afternoon.

Early Sunday morning, Sawicki was pulled over on I-95 in Fairfield, helping the driver of a disabled vehicle.
An SUV crashed into his cruiser which had been parked in the median with his lights on.
3 other people suffered minor injuries.
