UPDATE: Second person injured in early morning shooting that killed one Columbus man

COLUMBUS, Ga. (WTVM) - Columbus police say a 26-year-old Columbus man who was killed in early morning shooting at a gas station was not the only one injured.

Muscogee County Coroner Buddy Bryan says 26-year-old Alex Ramon Bales-Davis was shot and killed at the BP gas station in the 3800 block of Buena Vista Rd.

Bales-Davis was pronounced dead from a gunshot wound at 4:09 a.m.

Police say a 23-year-old woman was also shot. She was taken to Piedmont Columbus Regional for treatment where her condition is being described as “serious.”

An investigation determined that the shooting actually took place at the intersection of Brennan Road and St. Mary’s Rd.

No there is no word on any suspects at this time.
