Winchester man accused of abusing infant

WINCHESTER, Ky. (WTVQ) – Winchester police have arrested a man they say admitted to violently shaking an infant.

Police say they were contacted by Child Protective Services about a 9-month-old girl who was taken to the University of Kentucky hospital, suffering from multiple brain bleeds.

Police interviewed 27-year-old Nicholas Grimm, who is the baby’s father.

They say Grimm admitted to violently shaking the child on several occasions from July 2018 to November 2018.

Grimm is in the Clark County Detention Center, charged with criminal abuse.

There is no word on the infant’s condition.
