Right lane closure on East Main Street in Frankfort starts Wednesday

FRANKFORT, Ky. (WTVQ) -The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet says the right lane of eastbound East Main Street (U.S. 60) will be closed between milepoints 9.6 and 9.8 in Frankfort from Wednesday, April 2 through Tuesday, April 16.

Crews will complete work on storm sewers as part of a project to enhance East Main Street through the Kentucky State University campus.

KYTC says Langford Avenue will also be closed to thru traffic from Cold Spring Avenue to the intersection with East Main Street. Drivers will not be able to turn on to Langford Avenue from East Main Street nor turn on to East Main Street from Langford Avenue.

Motorists should avoid the route if possible and expect minor delays. When approaching and traveling through the work zone, drivers should slow down and use extra caution.

The date and duration of this work may be adjusted if inclement weather or other unforeseen delays occur.
