Police: Winchester couple kept young children locked in their rooms

WINCHESTER, Ky. (WTVQ) – Winchester police accuse a couple of locking their three young children in their rooms for “long periods of time.”

According to the arrest reports on Aaron Allen and Dana Allen, their children, ages 6, 4 and 2, had no way to get out because their rooms locked from the outside.

Winchester police say the children would urinate and defecate inside the room while they were locked inside. The younger children were found with soiled diapers.

In the arrest report, an officer says the 6-year-old soiled a pair of underwear and hid it for two weeks to avoid punishment, but Aaron Allen told police the child got in trouble for hiding it.

Aaron and Dana Allen are also accused of tying the 6-year-old’s hands behind his back with a belt where he urinated on himself.

Both are charged with criminal abuse.
