Historical soil in Frankfort making its way to a special display

FRANKFORT, KY. (WTVQ) – In Frankfort, activists remember two lynchings from Kentucky’s past with a Soil Ceremony.

The soil is from the Singing Bridge, where historians say two African American men were hung.

The soil is going to be apart of the Equal Justice Initiative’s “Lynchings in America” display in Alabama.

The group Frankfort Focus on Race Relations hosted the ceremony to send off the historic soil.
