UPDATE: Missing teen found safe in Shelbyville

Update:  Monday, August 24, 2020 at 3:08 p.m. EDT

SHELBYVILLE, Ky. (WTVQ) – A teenager, missing since early August, was found safe in Shelbyville on Sunday, August 23, 2020, according to Kentucky State Police.

17-year old Grayson Lawson disappeared in Mount Eden on August 2, 2020.

No other details were released by KSP other than to say the case remains under investigation.

TAYLORSVILLE, Ky. (WTVQ) –  The Kentucky State Police, Frankfort Post was called on Sunday night, August 2, 2020, in reference to a possible missing Shelby/Spencer County juvenile.

The initial investigation indicates that Grayson Lawson, age 17 of Taylorsville, was last seen on August 2nd, on Mount Eden Road in Mount Eden wearing red pajama pants, a grey Spencer County High School hoodie, and pink crocs.She is describedas a white female, 5’8″ tall, 180 lbs., with long brown hair and blue eyes.

Anyone with information about her location is asked to contact the KSP Frankfort Post at 502.227.2221.

The investigation is ongoing by Post 12 Trooper Clint Overstreet.
