TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) — Several demonstrations are bringing hundreds of people to Tallahassee as protests stretch into a sixth day in Florida's capital city.
A Justice for Humanity walk and candlelight vigil is set to begin Thursday evening and is expected to draw more than 500 attendees.

The walk is planned from the capitol on North Monroe Street down Calhoun to Gaines Street, ending at the Cascades Park Amphitheater.

Protesters with the Tallahassee Community Action Committee are also preparing to mobilize in front of the Leon County Courthouse. That group is calling for Tallahassee Police Chief Lawrence Revell to resign from his position.

Both groups are pushing for change in the wake of George Floyd's death in police custody. So far, the protests have been peaceful.
