TALLAHASSEE, Fla. — After another shooting this weekend near Florida A&M University's campus, people in the community are wondering if there has been an increase in shootings over the past month.

The Tallahassee Police Department said there has been an increase.

This weekend four people were shot at a house party on Kissimmee Street, but no one was killed.

TPD said that shooting is not connected to any of the others.

"We have been responding to a lot of shooting as of late, fortunately it hasn't been someone going around randomly shooting people, we pretty much each shooting kind of contained as to what is going on," said Damon Miller, TPD's Public Information Officer.

TPD said officers were able to solve every shooting and murder case last year.
