TALLAHASSEE, Fla. — A home is a complete loss after a fire broke out inside early Monday morning.

On Monday, at about 4:42 a.m., the Tallahassee Fire Department was called to a reported house fire at 3535 Roberts Avenue.

When TFD crews arrived on scene within five minutes, they found a home with smoke and fire showing. TFD says the first arriving unit made entry and began to extinguish the fire while making a quick search to ensure no one was inside.

The home was not being occupied at the time of the fire and the fire was extinguished. TFD is reporting no injuries.

The home is considered a complete loss and one of the adjacent homes received minor exterior damage to the siding prior to the arrival of TFD.

TFD was on scene for approximately two hours and was assisted by The Tallahassee Police Department, City of Tallahassee Utilities, and Leon County EMS.
