TALLAHASSEE, Fla.(WTXL) — Two men have been arrested after police connected them to separate recent burglaries around Tallahassee.

The Tallahassee Police Department says officers responded to burglaries around Tallahassee on Thursday afternoon and Friday morning.

The first incident occurred at 5:45pm on Thursday in the 1700 block of Bisque Court.

Officers responded to a burglary in progress and arrived to find the suspect pushing a cart containing a bunk bed.

The suspect was identified as 38-year-old Corpus J De Jesus-Ramos.

During the investigation, police determined that Jesus-Ramos entered a nearby home through a broken back door and removed a piece of furniture.

Police say he was in the process of leaving the scene when he was apprehended.

The second incident happened at 2:30 a.m. on Friday in the 1900 block of Karen Lane.

TPD says the victim called and said she had heard a noise coming from the driveway, which attracted her attention.

She then saw an individual in her vehicle who quickly walked away from the scene.

Responding officers arrived quickly and observed the suspect, still on Karen Lane, walking away from the crime scene.

As officers attempted to approach him, he started running away.

In an attempt to escape, he climbed the fence surrounding SAIL High School and ran across the campus.

He was taken into custody while still on SAIL property.

The suspect was identified as 29-year-old Anthony Ash.

During his flight, he threw a fanny pack away in view of the pursuing officers, which was recovered after his arrest.

Inside the fanny pack, officers found property belonging to the vehicle owner as well as suspected synthetic cannabinoids.

In addition, Ash had two warrants out for his arrest for violations of probation.

Based on the evidence discovered during both of these incidents, both Jesus-Ramos and Ash were Transported to the Leon County Detention Center.

They are facing multiple burglary related charges.
