WASHINGTON -- Franklin Hall, an American beer hall located in the historic Manhattan Laundry building in D.C., hosted a "Pitch a Friend" event in partnership with Dogfish Head on Friday.

The event -- modeled after Shark Tank -- allowed participants to pitch a three-minute PowerPoint of their single friends to a crowd, followed by a two minute question and answer.

More than 100 people asked to be pitched, but a special team sorted through the applications and settled on 12 lucky locals.

Franklin Hall's assistant general manager Nathan Kazaitis and his team are the first people in D.C. to try this, but they don't think it'll be their last. "We're exploring the possibility of doing it again, and trying to figure out how we can expand it to all genders," Kazaitis said. "The dating scene in Washington, D.C. is endless."
