The man wanted for questioning in the death of three people and for shooting at a police officer in Eastern Kentucky has been captured.

WYMT reported that Paul Douglas Sizemore is being transferred to the Kentucky State Police Post 13 in Perry County. He is accused of shooting at a police officer and ramming a police cruiser. He was found on Wednesday morning after police had been searching since Monday night.

According to Kentucky State Police, troopers responded to a call about shots fired on Wolf Creek Road around 7:00 p.m. Monday night.

While on their way to the scene, authorities say a trooper's cruiser was intentionally rammed by an oncoming car on Coon Creek Road.

Police said the driver of the car, later identified as Sizemore, then got out and fired shots at the trooper. They said Sizemore then ran away on foot. The trooper was not injured.

A short time later deputies found the bodies of Larry, Norma and Chad Bowling. Autopsies will be performed at the State Medical Examiner's Office in Frankfort. Police confirm that husband and wife, Larry Bowling, 64, and Norma Bowling, 61, were killed in their house. Two houses over, their son Chad Bowling, 38, was found dead.

All three had gunshot wounds, police said.

At this time, troopers have not said whether Sizemore is a suspect in their deaths, but he was wanted for questioning in connection to them.

Previously, U.S. Marshals had a warrant for Sizemore's arrest because of a parole violation. Sizemore is a convicted murderer, WKYT reported. He was sentenced to 20 years in prison for 1987 murder in Leslie County before being released in 2002. He was also sentenced on federal firearms charges and was released in 2016.
