Deputies with the Hale County Sheriff’s Office have arrested a man for the murder of Edward Coley on Saturday. Coley, 81, was killed at his residence on County Road 42, and detectives have been investigating the homicide since. Deputies said they arrested 34-year-old Moundville resident Deshawn M. Williams and have charged him with the murder of Coley. Williams was booked into the Hale County Jail, deputies said. The sheriff said the Akron community sent in numerous tips and information. "Because the people of this community came together to seek justice for their neighbor, a murder suspect is behind bars tonight," officials said.
