SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) – State Police confirmed a man has died in Monday night’s accident on I-91 in Springfield.
State Police called to serious accident near Exit 4 on I-91 in Springfield
According to Massachusetts State Police, a man was driving in the right lane on I-91 Southbound at Exit 4 in Springfield when he lost control of the car, crossed over all three lanes and struck the left side guardrail.
State police said the car traveled back across the highway and struck the right side guardrail. The driver was ejected from the car during the crash.
The driver died afterward where the crash took place.
State Police Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Section, Crime Scene Services Section, Troopers assigned to the Hampden County District Attorney’s Office, and the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner are still looking into the fatal crash.
