A man was rushed to the hospital with serious injuries after he was struck by a vehicle in Springfield’s Forest Park neighborhood Thursday night.
Springfield Police spokesman Ryan Walsh said officers were called to a pedestrian vs car accident at the 0-100 block of Edgeland St. around 9:50 p.m.
The officers found a man badly injured and immediately took him to Baystate Medical Center.
Walsh said the driver of the vehicle stayed at the location and is cooperating with police.
The police department’s Traffic Unit is trying to determine how the accident occurred.
