SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) – Police are investigating a deadly shooting in the Six Corners neighborhood of Springfield Friday morning.
Springfield Police spokesperson Ryan Walsh told 22News, officers were called to Greenacre Square for a report of a man down around 6:20 a.m. Walsh said the man officers located had been shot and killed.
Our 22News crew saw multiple police cars and a forensic truck in the area of Foster Street and Greenacre Square around 9 a.m.
The Springfield Police Department Homicide Unit is investigating what led up to the shooting.
