The Springfield RV, camping, and outdoor show kicked off at the Big E Friday night.

The show features exhibitors with everything from motorcycles to full on motor homes. There will be presentations throughout the weekend on things like retiring with an RV, and the right dog for a camping family.

According to Forbes, not only are retiring baby boomers bringing big business to RV companies, but millennials are helping to drive a surge in sales in recent years.

Preston Miller, from Miller Trailer Sales, told 22News, “We do see a wider range of ages. A lot of the younger people are taking interest in our trailers because it’s very cheap to travel. With one of these travels that weighs only 1700 pounds.”

Today’s more modern trailers even have solar panels to run some of the electronics inside. The RV show runs through Monday.
