TALITHA: MEANTIME POLICE , OFFICERS IN NORTH CAROLINA ARE MAKING AN EFFORT TO SHOW THEIR UNDERSTANDING TO PROTESTERS. THE FAYETTEVILLE POLICE DEPARTMENT SHARED THIS DRONE VIDEO ON THEIR TWITTER ACCOUNT. LOOK CLOSELY IT SHOWS A LINE OF , DOZENS OF UNIFORMED OFFICERS IN FRONT OF A SMALL CROWD OF PROTESTERS BLOCKING THE STREET. AT ONE POINT, THE OFFICERS KNEEL DOWN IN FRONT OF THE PROTESTERS. AND MOMENTS LATER, THE PROTESTERS ALSO TAKE A KNEE. AFTER KNEELING BOTH OFFICERS AND PROTESTERS WALKED TOWARD EACH OTHER. SOME EVEN EMBRACING. AFTER FOUR NIGHTS OF PROTESTS. THIS SIMPLE GESTURE FROM RALEIGH POLICE. TAKING A KNEE TO SHOW THEIR SUPPORT. A COMMUNITY ACTIVIST SAYS, SHE HAS WORKED WITH POLICE AND OTHER COMMUNITY ADVOCATES FOR YEARS. >> FOLKS HERE IN RALEIGH HAVE SEEN TREMENDOUS HURT AND PAIN AMONGST OUR BLACK COMMUNITY AND WE HAVE BEEN BOMBARDING OUR CITY COUNCIL MEMBERS AND CHIEF OF POLICE AS WELL AS OUR MAYOR. After four nights of protests, Raleigh police showed a simple gesture, taking a knee to show support. She is the president of Save Our Sons and has been working with police and other community advocates for years. "And we have been relentless bombarding our city council members, our chief of police as well as our mayor. Activists are calling for the police chief to resign and no new police stations in black communities. They are also calling on officers to intervene when a fellow cop becomes abusive. A drone video, shared by Fayetteville police, shows officers also kneeling down in front of the protesters. Moments later, the protesters also take a knee.
