CHEYENNE – The Wyoming Business Council has begun a nationwide search for a new CEO.
Current CEO Shawn Reese will step down at the end of this year, and the council hopes to have the position filled by Jan. 1, according to a news release.
“The next CEO will have an enormous impact on Wyoming’s future, and will ensure the mission and efforts of economic diversification and development for the state continue forward,” said Board of Directors Co-Chair Megan Goetz.
The CEO will lead the organization in diversifying and expanding business sectors in Wyoming. The Business Council looks to create more opportunity for Wyoming industries, businesses, entrepreneurs and startups.
The search committee includes state representatives, Business Council staff, Wyoming Economic Development Association members, and industry and community stakeholders.
As of right now, the job posting will close Nov. 5, and the final interviews will take place Dec. 6 in Cheyenne.
