CHEYENNE, Wyo. (Wyoming News Now) - Wyoming Main Street along with other other local Main Street organizations kicked off the Wyo Wednesday with the theme, “Be a Tourist In Your Own Town.” The movement is aimed to have people support small businesses in this town. The first shop the Downtown Development Authority (DDA) made for #WyoWednesday was the Diamond Horseshoe Cafe off of Central Avenue.

Diamond Horseshoe Cafe has been in Cheyenne for over 40 years. The cafe provides breakfast and lunch items off their menu to the public. They also have antiques for sale such as necklaces. Server, Margaret Lovato says she’s appreciative of residents and tourists checking out what Cheyenne has to offer.

“Small businesses are really hurting right now. The more people that come to the small places are really helping us, in more ways than they can even think of,” Lovato said.

Wyo Wednesday plans on happening the first Wednesday of each month.
