DOUGLAS, Wyo. (Wyoming News Now) - Vendor booths and carnival rides are in Douglas for the Wyoming State Fair. The general manager said some of the vendors are new and some been around for a while.

“There’s a collage of people that are deep seated in the Wyoming State Fair community that makes up this event and some people are new to the environment. We are really excited to have them here,” said Courtny Conkle Wyoming State Fair General Manager.

This year they have signs up reminding everyone to social distance. They can be seen at eye level and on the ground.

They are doing everything they can so everyone feels safe.

“If you come to the fair and feel more comfortable wearing a mask or gloves we do offer those free of charge,” Conkle said.

Since a lot of events were cancelled statewide, Conkle adds this is a great way to celebrate the summer.

“It’s great to come together and have that sense of community and statehood. I think is critical right now for both the state of Wyoming and for our nation,” Conkle said.

She adds this is a lot of fun you can have for only five dollars. The Wyoming State Fair goes until Saturday Aug 15.
