Every year during National Police Week, the Cheyenne Police Department has a ceremony to remember the fallen officers. "Remembering what they did to make that ultimate sacrifice so their names are never forgotten and what they did is never forgotten" said Public Information Officer, David Inman.

This year the memorial is set up inside the Police Department and they filmed the ceremony. They shared the ceremony on social media so the community could see. Cheyenne has lost five officers and Wyoming has lost 67 in the line of duty.

"It's done very ceremoniously and very precise and it's done the same way all over the country, the reason for that is to keep it uniform and to keep that nationwide recognition for fallen officers" said David Inman.
