BURKE — The Platte-Geddes boys and Chamberlain girls claimed team honors in the Southeast South Dakota Conference Cross Country meet, held Monday in Burke.
Platte-Geddes claimed a tight boys’ race, scoring 20 points to hold off Winner (23), Chamberlain (24) and Burke (26). Chamberlain’s Dominic Santiago won the 5,000-meter race in 16:54, beating out Platte-Geddes’ Caden Tegethoff (17:18).
Chamberlain scored 10 points to beat out Winner (21) and Ethan-Parkston (25) for the girls’ title. Chamberlain’s Allie Hough won the 5,000-meter event in 19:12, beating out Ethan-Parkston’s Lindsey Roth (19:50).
