Your polling place likely moved. Here's where to go for Tuesday's primary election
Voters who plan to head to the polls for the June 2 primary will need to check before they leave as many polling places have changed locations.
In York County, some polls are being consolidated. Many voters from York city and surrounding suburbs will cast ballots at the York Expo Center fairgrounds.
Some polls have been moved permanently, and a handful have been relocated temporarily just for the primary.
Some of the changes can be attributed to the coronavirus pandemic as not as many poll workers are available. At one point, York County was short roughly 300 poll workers, spokesman Mark Walters said.
In Adams County, only two poll changes have occurred:
- Oxford 2 has moved from the Brethren Home to the Irishtown Fire Company, 934 Irishtown Road
- Straban Township 1 has moved from the Lutheran Retirement Village to the Adams County Emergency Services Center, 230 Greenamyer Lane
In York County, West Manheim Township, which previously had one polling place that became crowded, now has been split into three:
- West Manheim 1: Hanover 1st Church of God, 600 Fairview Drive
- West Manheim 2: South Hanover YMCA, 650 Fairview Drive
- West Manheim 3: St. David’s Lutheran Church, 1032 Musselman Road
