New Lex man hospitalized after Ohio 60 crash

ZANESVILLE - A three-vehicle crash on Ohio 60 near Ohio 719 in Wayne Township sent a New Lexington man to the hospital, according to Sgt. Jeff Jirles of the Ohio State Highway Patrol.

The crash occurred just before 2 p.m. on Wednesday and closed Ohio 60 for approximately two hours.

According to Jirles, a commercial log truck driven by 59-year-old Ron Colvin, of Bellaire, struck a utility truck driven by Jordan Brown, 26, of New Lexington. Brown's truck was pushed into a vehicle driven by Donald Pagath, 67, of Duncan Falls.

Brown was transported to Genesis Hospital with serious injuries. Colvin was cited for failure to maintain assured clear distance ahead and distracted driving.
