Sheridan to induct three to Hall of Fame

THORNVILLE - Sheridan will add three new faces to its Athletic Hall of Fame on Friday.

The 2019 class includes Matt Bromley, Michelle (Hess) Crane and Charles Morehead.

There will be a ceremony from 1:50 to 2:30 p.m. Friday afternoon at the high school commons, and there will also be a presentation prior to the football game with Tri-Valley.

Sheridan will also recognize its 2018-19 girls and boys basketball teams before the game.

Matt Bromley

The 2014 graduate won a pair of state titles, claiming the Division II cross country meet in 2013 and winning the 3,200 during the Division II state track meet in 2014.

He was a three-time MVL champion in cross country and an eight-time league champion in track. He went on to earn eight varsity letters in cross country and track at Miami of Ohio and was a four-time All-MAC selection in those sports.

Michelle (Hess) Crane

The 1996 alum was a class valedictorian and competed as a gymnast at Arizona State University from 1996-2000. She participated in the NCAA Gymnastics Championships from 1997-1999 and was a team captain for the Sun Devils from 1999-2000.

Charles Morehead

The 1961 grad was All Perry County in basketball during the 1960 season. He was also recognized as All Southeastern Ohio in basketball during the 1960 and 1961 seasons and was an All-Ohio honoree in basketball during the 1961 season. He went on to play basketball for Miami of Ohio.
